Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium is jointly owned by the City of Myrtle Beach and the Horry County School District.  The stadium is currently undergoing a $6 million renovation, with an anticipated reopening date of 9/1/2017. The renovations include installation of new Field Turf with permanent lines for football, soccer, men’s lacrosse and women’s lacrosse. The addition of a new support building with restrooms, team rooms, and officials rooms. New Daktronics video board. Beynon resurfaced NCAA/IAAF certified 8 lane track and addition of second straightaway in front of the 3,300 seat home side bleachers. New bleachers and 10 room  press box with filming platform. In addition to three Myrtle Beach Spring Training track meets and multiple football, lacrosse and youth track & field events, the stadium is home to the Myrtle Beach High School Seahawks football, soccer, lacrosse, and track and field teams.
